Dear Valued Patient

We are happy to announce our office is open for preventive dental care and dental treatment.

First and foremost your health and safety are our primary concerns. The American Dental Association issued a statement regarding reopening dental practices stating:

“The longer dental practices remain closed to preventive care and treatment for early forms of dental disease, the more likely that patients’ untreated disease will progress, increasing the complexity and cost for treatment down the road. The safety of patients, dentists and dental team members has been and always will be the ADA’s utmost concern.”

Our office has always and will continue to follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, the U.S. Center of Disease and Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We follow these protocols to ensure the safety of our patients and our team. Your visit to Topsail Dental will be different going forward due to the changes we have  implemented to protect us all. They are listed below:

-Our office will communicate verbally with you before your appointment to ask COVID-19 pre-screening questions.

-We are asking all patients upon arrival to stay in their vehicle and call our office to notify us that you have arrived.

-One of our Patient Care Coordinators will come to your car and take your temperature and review screening questions and consent of risk forms.

-Please keep your vehicle cool or stay in the shade for an accurate temperature reading.

-If a patient has a fever over 100.4F or is experiencing a persistent cough, we will be rescheduling them that day.

-A team member will come get you when your treatment room is ready.

-We will have hand sanitizer that you will use upon entering the office.

-Appointments and patients will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.

-We will have greater time in between appointments to decrease aerosols and the number of patients in the office.

-We ask that only the patient come into the building for their appointment. Parents of children under the age of 10 or with children who have special needs may accompany their child.

-We are monitoring our team daily with temperature checks and symptom questionnaires on a daily basis.

We are here to help you, your family, and our entire community stay healthy and safe. Please give us a call to make an appointment or to reschedule a missed appointment. We look forward to serving you.

Warmest Smiles
